"Not Your Average Ranch Wedding" featured on Style Me Pretty

Our beautiful couple Ali & Thane are featured on Style Me Pretty today! Ali and Thane were such a special couple to us. We could feel the true love between these two, and they were just the sweetest, most down-to-earth, laid back, fun and happy couple. We absolutely adored them and their families, and working their wedding did NOT feel like work at all!

We were hired on for our Design + Month-Of Coordination service, where we walked them through each part of the design process: color palette, picking out linens, tables, floor plan design, floral choices and design of ceremony/reception tables, seating chart design, and so much more. Ali's favorite color was turquoise, and when she decided on navy bridesmaid dresses, we knew we could bring that color in with La Tavola's blue and white Casablanca linens! Precious & Blooming florals really brought in the magic with her beautiful floral designs and Jen Rodriguez captured everything so beautifully!

Below is the design board we created for Ali and Thane, and a link to the final product- their wedding photos published on Style Me Pretty as "Not Your Average Ranch Wedding". Because do we ever do average ranch weddings?

Popping the Question to my Bridesmaids!

A few weeks ago, I decided it was time to ask my sisters to be my bridesmaids. I am so excited for them to stand by my side when I tie the knot later this year! It was a little tricky to figure out when to ask them, as it has never been a question that they would be my bridesmaids!

Since I'm the youngest of the three, and have been a bridesmaid in both of their weddings, I was so excited to be able to ask them to be in my wedding in a cute way. I wanted to get them something special, but after I couldn't find that one thing I wanted, I decided to put together these boxes full of little gifts that go with our wedding design.

Each box went with their personal style: Natalie's was a black and white striped box lined in pink, and Michelle's was a mint green box with gold accents. Inside I included a gold pineapple, pink/coral bar soaps, Susie Cakes sugar cookies, and a modern brass frame fit with a baby photo of us together. To top it off, Sugar Paper has THE cutest "Will you be my Bridesmaid" cards in the prettiest blush pink and gold foil that I just had to get for them.

The night after I put together the boxes, I went on Pinterest and began to feel like the boxes weren't enough. Seems to me that people are going through as much to ask their bridesmaids to be in their wedding as their fiancé did! Since this wasn't a proposal, I was glad I kept it simple and sweet. Oh the things Pinterest can do to you!

And little do they know they will be getting some more fun surprises up until the day of our wedding! <3

Marbled By the Sea: Featured on Ruffled!

Our Marbled By the Sea Shoot was featured on Ruffled Blog yesterday! We designed this shoot around a beautiful invitation suite from Wedding Paper Divas; their Gilded Marble invitation. This invite has a deep, rich yellow hue with the most gorgeous marbling we've seen.

We talked all about our inspiration for this shoot over on Ruffled, so be sure to check it out! And as always, we couldn't have pulled it off without an amazing team. This one just happened to be all-local vendors that we love!

As always, we create design boards before every creative project, whether it be a wedding or a photoshoot. Above is our design board for this seaside shoot, showing our overall vision and inspiration for the aesthetic of the shoot. We're proud to say the end result was even better than what we imagined!

our colorful couple: Heather + James

Although our fun couple Heather and James held their wedding in the fall, that didn't stop them from wanting color, color, color all throughout their day! We love when couples come to us wanting something unique and different from the rest.

These design boards were created with our bride and groom's personalities and likes in mind. Their favorite colors of turquoise, pink, and coral were a great starting point of our design. We can't wait to share the professional photos of their big day!
