Brendon + Mykaela's Montage Laguna Wedding is on MARTHA!

We are so honored to be featured yet again in our favorite wedding blog of all time: MARTHA WEDDINGS!

Mykaela_Brendon-0169.jpg

Brendon and Mykaela got married on September 1, 2018, and had the most beautiful celebration at the Montage Laguna Beach. We had the honor of planning and designing their wedding in less than 6 months!

Our bride and groom are avid travelers, so we incorporated a slight travel theme to their overall wedding design. We are thrilled how it turned out, and the editors at Martha Weddings did a fantastic job at writing all about it. Check the blog post out here!

As always, we love to share the Mood Board we designed at the very beginning stages of planning. So fun to see how the wedding turned out based on this overall design we created! To see the full gallery of photos by the talented Ashley Ludaescher, and video by Nikki Riehle, head to our Portfolio.

Debbie & Frank's Seaside Wedding

On the weekend of Thanksgiving last year, we planned a beautiful seaside wedding for Debbie and Frank.

Part2-197.jpg

Although their marriage took place later in life, it didn’t deter these two from being head over heels for each other. Through every meeting we had with them planning colors, details, food and decor, these two seemed to be just so in love!

When talking with the two of them about their wedding design and feel, they made it clear they wanted a beach style wedding, with seashells and sunset toned florals. They wanted it to be a comfortable, fun space for their friends and family to gather and celebrate. Below is the mood board we created for their reception design, full of beach inspired shells, coral and driftwood, and the sunset toned florals. After looking at all the photos from their day, leave a comment below if you think we hit the mark with the design!

The reception took place at a private home in Shell Beach, right on the cliffs of the ocean. With various soft seating lounges throughout the yard, we brought the indoors out for a fun celebration that went well into the night. The sunset toned florals by Precious and Blooming were just the perfect accent to the ocean front property. Guests were sitting on the lounges, dancing on the dance floor and celebrating all night long!

This was such a lovely wedding to be a part of, and we will never forget the planning that went into it, and enjoying watching all the guests and Debbie and Frank celebrate. Debbie is no longer with us, and it is with heavy hearts that we send her family and friends our deepest condolences. She was the sweetest to us and we will forever cherish our memories of planning her day with her. Thank you Debbie for being so wonderful! <3

Camille & Jonathan: A Little Mermaid Inspired Wedding!

When we say 'A Little Mermaid Inspired Wedding", you're probably getting the idea that we had mermaid tails and fish scales flowing abundantly throughout this wedding design. But let us tell you, that is NOT the case!

Camille and Jonathan first met while working at Walt Disney Studios (hello, dream job), and bonded over the fact that The Little Mermaid was their favorite movie when they were little! Fast forward a few years and they began to plan their wedding, starting with the venue! They chose to get married at Lago Giuseppe in Paso Robles - the most magical venue set beside a lake and mossy trees in the middle of wine country.

They hired us on for Design only, and it was only fitting to incorporate their love of The Little Mermaid (and all things Disney) into their big day. With a color palette of pale ocean blues, deep reds, greens, and sequined neutrals, we created a romantic setting loosely based on the Disney theme.  We created table numbers out of seashells, Camille wore the most beautiful lace wedding dress, and linens were in various shades of blue. It was like a real life fairy tale!

For the seating chart, we painted our 7' wall pale blue, and hand wrote a romantic quote on it from the Little Mermaid "You're the one, the one that I've been looking for." We wrote guest's names and table numbers in gold calligraphy on real mussel shells, and attached these to the wall for guests to take home. Under these we created a faux seaweed look with dried pampas grass, for a fun underwater feel! This has to be one of our favorites, ever!

We put thought into each and every detail for C&J's wedding. See those fish shaped candleholders below? We sourced those specifically for this wedding! Jordan Voth captured every little detail, and we  were so excited to finally work with him after stalking his amazing Instagram!

Thanks to a fabulous team of vendors on this one. It was so fun to re-live this beautiful day! See the full gallery, here

Stephanie + Jared featured on MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS!

Today we are SO incredibly honored and excited to have our wedding featured on

Martha Stewart Weddings!!

If you don't know by now, Lovelyfest is made up by two sisters. Me (Stephanie) and my older sister, Natalie. We have been designing weddings now for exactly four years- our anniversary was yesterday! And one of our biggest dreams came true; we got a wedding featured on Martha! And not just any wedding, but my very own wedding day, when I got to marry my best friend.

To read more in detail about our big day, and where we came up with our wedding design, head over to the Martha Stewart Weddings blog! The editors at MSW asked us to describe our day in detail and they did such a fantastic job of putting it all together.

Our friend Mirelle Carmichael was there to capture our whole day (a lot of it with film photography, too!) and we are beyond impressed with her skills. Each photo she took is intentional, detailed, and captures all the emotions of our day. We will cherish these photos forever. We've posted a few here, but to see the full album from our wedding, head to our Portfolio! Please excuse us for the excessive amounts of photos. When you receive thousands of photos back from your photographer, it's tough to narrow it down! And for a full list of vendors who made our wedding special, scroll to the bottom of this post.

We've thought about sharing more about the planning process behind our wedding, which we might do so here on the blog in the future (if we get any requests!). But for now, we'd love to share one planning decision we made that we will never regret. And that is hiring a videographer. Cameron Ingalls is not only one of our good friends, but he is an amazing photographer and videographer! We hired him on to do our video and we are so glad we did. See for yourself, below!
