Featured on Kara's Party Ideas!

We are so, so excited that our oldest sister, Michelle is pregnant with her first baby! She is due in July, so we threw her a fun mid-century modern baby shower filled with all of her favorite things.

The shower was featured this week over on Kara's Party Ideas, so head over there to see all of our inspiration and all the photos from the day!

Above is our design board that we created for the shower, full of modern, fresh, colorful and fun elements. We worked together with our mom to come up with the perfect baby shower theme that reflected both our sister's style and that would suit a baby boy on the way!

Our sister's house is full of clean, modern decor, and she has always been inspired by mid-century modern style, so naturally we wanted to mimic this in her shower design. Luckily our mom is very creative and crafty, and she really was the driving force behind all this cuteness. check out the terra cotta cactus planters she painted and planted for each centerpiece!

Every table had a different napkin color, either in turquoise, orange or green that coordinated with the same color terra cotta pots and taper candles. This color blocking gave a nice monochromatic and modern feel to the whole shower. And our modern gold flatware and vintage glassware really added a fun element to the overall decor.

Hudson's First Birthday

A little over a month ago, Natalie's baby boy Hudson Duke turned one!! She wanted to throw him the best birthday party he's ever seen (even if he won't remember it, he can always look back on it in the future!). His favorite thing to do is dance to the hot dog song on Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse, so that's where the theme began. Seen above and below are our design boards for the party!

The retro hot dog theme was based around primary colors, classic picnic foods, and of course, mickey mouse. Below are a few snaps from the party, taken by Cameron ingalls. We couldn't have wished for a better turnout on the decor and food, and such a fun time with our family and friends!

Hudson beelined straight to the food table. Check out those calves!

Below is Hudson's first taste of sugar, starting with this adorable chocolate smash cake (made by his auntie Wiss). We can't tell you if he liked it or not, but it was definitely a cute reaction!

Happy birthday Hudsy! We all love this kid more than words. Can't wait to share more photos soon!

Featured On... Hostess with the Mostess!

We are so excited to see our styled Engagement Party shoot up on Hostess with the Mostess today! They are actually announcing a revamp of their blog today- starting with our shoot! The blog is now focusing directly on it's readers and making the wonderful world of parties more accessible! HWTM will not only give you tons of fun ideas for your next event, but they'll be posting more and more DIY's so you can actually recreate all the lovely things you see!

So when they asked us to make a DIY for our plexiglass signs, we were all for it! These signs are seriously so easy to make, and really make an impact. They photograph great and really give a unique look to your party! Plus, it's super easy to erase what you've written (just a little Windex & paper towels do the trick) just incase you make a mistake.

Pop on over to the Hostess with the Mostess blog to see our full DIY and more { beautiful photos taken by our friend and photographer Cameron Ingalls }

Sending Our Love!

Happy Valentine's Day! This year we wanted to send our love in a special way, so we brainstormed together and created a little something to send to close vendors and clients.

These little heart and arrows are a fun way to show how much we love the vendors we work with and give them a little taste of our creativity. The last photo is actually from the Instagram of a lovely vendor Danielle Capito Photography when she received it in the mail!

 We decided we should share these with the world, so the magnets are available in our Etsy Shop, Lovelyfest Goods! We're thinking they'd be cute as favors for parties or to send to someone as a little non-Valentine surprise :)
