Agate Slice Place Cards + Wedding Prepping

We're prepping for a fun modern wedding coming up this weekend, and we've got some pretty exciting design elements in the works that we just couldn't wait to share!

Agate has been popping up everywhere, and we can't get enough. We got a huge shipment of it in last week, and this is how it looked..

I mean, those colors?! Insane. We had an idea of what we wanted to do with these little guys (they're about 3" wide), and that was to use them as place cards for each guest! See below:

We wrote on them with beautiful gold foil pens (iPhone photos don't quite do it justice), and gave the caterers a little heads up on Beef or Fish in the right hand corner. Don't they just look adorable?!

We also can't wait to show you what we've done with the larger agate slices. It's going to be a Palm Springs wedding full of modern, yet earthy decor and it's sure to be a pretty one. We'll be sharing photos of this weekend on our Instagram, so check that out as well!

Retro Pastel Wedding Shoot

A few months ago, Kelsea Holder {a local San Luis Obispo wedding photographer} got in touch with us about wanting to do a styled shoot. We immediately agreed- have you seen her work?! The only setback was that the three of us just had way too many creative ideas bouncing around. We like to do wedding shoots that inspire brides for their own weddings and also to show what we are capable of. After much thought and deliberation, and tons of emailing back and forth, we finally nailed down a theme- Retro Pastel!

We were inspired by the works of photographer Gray Malin, glam retro style, and summertime's big skies and poolside days. Kelsea fully understood exactly what we were thinking, and even bought professional backdrops for the shoot that really took it to the next level. Her style is editorial and refined, and she captured our vision perfectly.

We set up a dining table, sweets table, ceremony, bar, and even had Bon Puf come up from LA to share her sweet cotton candy treats with us all! Our models were completely adorable together, and we're hoping to plan their wedding in the near future ;)

Hoping this shoot inspires brides to have fun with their wedding and that pastel colors can be used at any time of year, for any celebration!

Can't wait to share where this shoot will be featured, and keep checking back to see it in our Portfolio!

Featured On... Inspired by This!

Inspired by This is one of our favorite all-around blogs; they are constantly posting the most interesting content! It ranges from inspiring weddings, to adorable small businesses, to the most delicious recipes you can find. That is why we were so excited when they expressed interest in the Boho Caribbean wedding shoot we designed! Click here to see their lovely blog post!

We styled this shoot with the Caribbean in mind, even though we were far from it! This venue is in the middle of Paso Robles- a country town known for it's great wine here in the Central Coast! Danielle Poff photographed this beauty and we just loved how it turned out. Although it rained the entire time, the decor and mood of the Caribbean shined through!

Each and every vendor put so much time and effort into this shoot and it really shows. Thank you to you all!
