Keeping it Fresh

As we continue reflecting on past work we've done, we couldn't help but stop by this Citrus Inspired shoot we collaborated on with photographer Lindsey Gomes at the most beautifully intimate venue, Hammersky Vineyards. Citrus is a great natural accent piece for styling!

We have always loved citrus as an accent, but we really wanted to make it the focal point of this inspiration shoot. The color palette consisted of orange and peach, combined with a pale romantic blue. These complementary colors worked perfectly together against the green backdrop of Hammersky and with the rich greenery in the floral arrangements. Eden Florals created the most stunning table arrangements and bouquet, and we tried our hand at floral design with creating a faux greenery and floral backdrop for the cake.

As you can tell, it wasn't the brightest summer day, but the table setting alone creates a fresh, summery feeling. Using Anthropologie plates and glassware, the table had a farm fresh yet luxurious vibe.

The cake table was possibly our favorite part! The cake, by Christina Bonnet was so adorable and just had a slight blue marbling to it. And our fun triangular shaped backdrop turned out to be the perfect frame for this sweet cutting cake. And yes, we cut into it and it tasted just as good as it looked!

Thank you to an amazing team of vendors on this shoot!

The JAM Event Featured on Green Wedding Shoes!

When Cameron Ingalls first approached us to design a space at The Jam Event for The Wedding Standard, we were a bit hesitant. The theme was 1980's and we weren't sure where to begin. This is not our favorite decade design-wise! But of course we're willing to do anything for Cameron, so we put our thinking caps on and decided to go for it.

Our idea was to go full Miami Vice and create an over-the-top surf inspired/iridescent/pastel paradise. The Wedding Standard sponsored a space at The Jam Event where we were able to design a tablescape and lounge with our pal and florist Katie Noonan. It was pink, blue, punchy and bright, and everything we like about the 80's.

The entire album of images from The Jam is featured on Green Wedding Shoes today- check it out! After we saw all the other design spaces at the party we decided this decade wasn't so bad. Everyone knocked it out of the park!

The floral + balloon installation above is by Bright Inc and we LOVED it. The colors, textures, asymmetry, everything. Best way to start a party!

See our table and lounge design on Green Wedding Shoes under "THE VICE" and let us know what you think!

Marbled By the Sea: Featured on Ruffled!

Our Marbled By the Sea Shoot was featured on Ruffled Blog yesterday! We designed this shoot around a beautiful invitation suite from Wedding Paper Divas; their Gilded Marble invitation. This invite has a deep, rich yellow hue with the most gorgeous marbling we've seen.

We talked all about our inspiration for this shoot over on Ruffled, so be sure to check it out! And as always, we couldn't have pulled it off without an amazing team. This one just happened to be all-local vendors that we love!

As always, we create design boards before every creative project, whether it be a wedding or a photoshoot. Above is our design board for this seaside shoot, showing our overall vision and inspiration for the aesthetic of the shoot. We're proud to say the end result was even better than what we imagined!
