Artist Love

This week has us reflecting on the countless "vendors" we've worked with over the past few years! We like to refer to them as artists, purveyors, designers and creators, each unique and specialized in their own field. We wanted to write a post about some of our favorites and we hope it will help you in choosing someone amazing for your next event!

Cameron Ingalls |

With his romantic, perfectly lit, effortless photographs, he's not only a stellar photographer but an awesome person! He is devoted to every bride and groom he works with, and always makes them feel so comfortable. He was meant to do this, and it shows in his photography and people skills! You'll be thrilled you chose him! Check out the Parisian Vow Renewal he recently shot for us here!

John Robert Woods |

John Robert Woods and I go way back, back to high school in fact! He's a rad guy with cool style. We love his photography because it's different and yet classic at the same time. He makes everything and everyone look awesome! There's an inspirational shoot brewing with him involved, stay tuned!

Lori Boe Floral Design |

We have worked with Lori a few times and absolutely love her! She's so sweet and artistic! She literally will make anything by hand and has an amazing gift at arranging flowers. We love working with her because she's a great listener and always delivers! Check out her designs on her website and in our portfolio: Parisian Vow Renewal and Romantic San Luis Obispo Wedding!

Juniper Floral Design |

Juniper is one of those people who can take a vision and literally turn it into existence! She is so detail oriented and knowledgable about flowers. Ever since she did my own wedding to perfection I have loved her! Located in Santa Barbara, she's worked at some of the top hotels and resorts around! See her designs here

Hair + Makeup

Victoria Connolly | Faces Salon

Victoria is such a gem to work with! As a hair stylist, she's so good at listening to her client and really making each person feel and look beautiful! We love the fact that she knows all the trends and perfect bridal styles. She will go above and beyond and loves what she does! She's located in San Luis Obispo but she'll travel just about anywhere.

Danielle Roberts |

Danielle is so talented in both hair and makeup, we absolutely love her work!  She listens to each client and makes them look absolutely gorgeous with her effortlessness and style. She has background in commercial, editorial and bridal, and is truly an artist! And to top it off she can do a mean cat-eye!

Although we wouldn't call a venue an "artist", we still would like to showcase the cool places we've worked and highlight their special qualities!

The Bacara Resort & Spa, Santa Barbara |

One of the most beautiful resorts in all of California, the Bacara feels like you are really having a luxurious destination wedding. Set apart from the rest of Santa Barbara in the sleepy town of Goleta, you feel on vacation as soon as the bell person carts you down to your gorgeous but comfortable room. With two ocean view options for your ceremony and a few more indoor/outdoor options for your reception, your wedding will be perfection. We are especially fond of their menu, everything prepared is amazing!

Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore, Santa Barbara |

While coordinating my very first wedding here for my sister-in-law, I knew this place was special. It has so much history and class; a real hidden gem. Located in Montecito, it's close to everything: shopping, amazing restaurants, and right on gorgeous Butterfly Beach. The ceremony and reception spaces are absolutely breathtaking with lush gardens and some with ocean views. The service is impeccable! It's definitely the place to go if you want a very high end wedding with a beautiful, true Santa Barbara setting.

Baker Party Rentals, Costa Mesa |

Affordable, awesome selection and great stock. When in Orange County, this is one of the first places we go for the basics!

La Tavola Linen |

In a class of their own with linen selection, they're always coming up with the latest and greatest. It's no wonder everyone's using them! Go check out their amazing linen selection!

Anthropologie's sister brand is a bride's dream website and store. Everything they have is beautiful, timeless and has that vintage heirloom quality. We LOVE them!

So there it is, some of the vendors (and venue's!) we love to work with and hope to work with more and more in the future! We also plan to add more artist love blog posts to showcase some of those we have left out in this post. There are so many awesome artists in our field, we hope to work with them and share our wonderful experiences with you!
